A new lawsuit spurred by a New York Times op-ed piece by two UC Berkeley professors that challenges the legality of the 2021 California Governor recall election was filed in a U.S. District Court over the weekend.

Erwin Chemerinsky Dean University of California, $507,938.00
Aaron Edlin PROF-AY-LAW University of California, 2018 $426,523.00
Two professors making half a million a year telling we the California taxpayers that fund their lifestyle how we may or not vote. Time for torches and pitchforks so we can storm the ivory tower.
I’m old enough to remember when courts don’t interfere in state electoral matters.
What a silly argument the two “educators” make!
Shall the governor be recalled, yes or no?
If no, then the second question of someone to replace him is moot.
If yes, why would he be on the second question as a person who could be put into the office he’s being removed from???
It’s just contrived logic trying hard to sound “reasonable” and “fair” and “equitable” to keep the current governor in power.
Reminds me of the two-person race, where the loser says “I finished second, but my opponent came in next to last!” Just re-framing to spin the truth.
Chemerinsky Is a real threat to the republic, yet that doofus Hugh Hewitt supported him when he was made dean of the UCI law school.
Then do the constitutionality of mail in ballots, infringing on in person voting rights. I’m glad they are challenging.
A Federal judge would have no jurisdiction over a state election. And a *law professor* filed this lawsuit.
Of course you’re correct. Stupid argument that only intellectuals could come up with. But more importantly the optics of it are terrible. It’s stupid, and it looks desperate
That Chemerinsky is a well known...and infamous...Maoist. Kinda like Ron Kuby.
Stupid professors this is not a federal issue.
UC Berkeley, communist central for the western US.
So you're 9 months old? You have amazing writing and typing skills.
We here in CaCaLand already used the same damned law to dump GreyDavis. The timing is about scaring people away from dumping another loser. Put the issue “up for grabs” and the weak TWOT’s will not even bother to print out their ballot at home and send it in.
Yes, that is now an option in CaCaLand.
Wanna bet how many ballots will be printed out? Repeatedly?
