But that doesn't justify nincompoopery in response.

The problem here is that you don't address the fact that it isn't just Dr. Hoffe saying this exact point. . .it is several HIGHLY CREDENTIALED medical professionals making this point. You reduce it to "nincompoopery" without any data that backs-up your point. The fact that you assume your own voice and opinion should suffice is. . .well, quite presumptuous. Your penchant toward use of pejorative and denigration also casts a pall upon your opinion.

Let's hear some facts that support your claims from known respected sources beside pierrem15. . .maybe you are a medically trained professional or you could be some narcissist sitting in front of his computer in his P.J's trying to sound smart. Which is it, we don't know.

I'm agreeing in part: I'm sure the vaccine causes clots in some people. But there's never been any vaccine that didn't kill some recipients. This particular comparison strikes me as flawed because the factor they discuss as causing issues with the vaccine is present many times over if you get the disease.

The relevant question is a cost/benefit evaluation of the vaccine risks vs. the disease risk. For young people and especially children the vaccine risk strikes me as higher than the disease.

I only wish I could examine some stats that aren't being cooked by either side.

And the lack of research into prophylactics in the early stages of the disease and therapeutics is astounding. The medical establishment has put all its eggs into the stopping-transmission basket, which is absurd for a flu-like coronavirus, and was absurd once it was past the ability of contact tracing to stop, which it was even at the very beginning.

The medical establishment is just as corrupt and stupid as the defense and intelligence agencies who assured Biden that the Afghan army would last at least 90 days.

BTW I used to write software for generating statistics for evaluating medical data.
