The C17 is a beast it’s Max payload is 170900 freedom units we lbs with an average maj weight of 150# that’s 1140 of them. That cargo hold is packed full with just 640 of them. So as was to be expected since people are not that sense the cargo capacity is volume limited not weight limited. That flight only flew for an hour or so to a friendly airbase and off loaded them to be flown later to military bases in the U.S.
