When looking at stories, or data, keep in mind the timeframe. Is the data they are sharing/reporting regarding the entire vaccination timeline (from Jan), when there were far fewer variants and far fewer participating in the experimental injections? Or, is it what's happening recently, in the last week or last month with a growing pool of variants and participents in the experiments?

Report complains of selective reporting.. and makes a huge leap of logic by claiming that the vaccinated are ending up in the hospital by using 5 absurd examples: Israel, Scotland, Massachusetts and Gibraltar.

The metric is simple: How many people are going to the hospital and how many are dying, and what percent are vaccinated vs. unvaccinated. If there isn’t a hard number (like 98%, below), I call BS.

That 98% in the link you provided is going all the way back to December when hardly anybody was vaccinated and the Delta variant was unheard of. The monthly data which breaks down hospitalizations and deaths by race and age, conveniently doesn’t break down by vaccination status as far as I could find.

The local bird cage liner is pushing that one hospital has an ‘overflow’ tent set up outside (LBJ hospital, Houston). And that they can’t find nurses to staff it. Then they slip and say there’s 6 beds in it. They’ve since removed that little snippet, of course.

Lastly, the Methodist employees fired for refusing the shots are suing the hospital, and frankly, I hope they get enough they can retire and tell the hospital to KMA.

In June, a federal judge tossed a lawsuit filed against Houston Methodist Hospital over its COVID-19 vaccine requirement, finding that the mandate “was not coercion.”

(A mandate of get this experimental shot or lose your job is the textbook definition of coercion, dumba$$ judge.

That isn't true, and you apparently fell for the same data presentation trick that the article is describing.

If you look at the source you cited it says "Percentage of COVID-19 related deaths in people who were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated since December 15, 2020 when vaccines became available."

But we all know that very few people were fully vaccinated until months later. If you look at the source you cited you will see that of the 565 people who died since the beginning of December 2020, the great majority died before vaccination was widely available, or even completed for the two shot regimens.

For example, in December, January, and March alone 84% of the deaths occurred. In June, July, and August only 27 people died from COVID in the county, which is slightly less than 5% of the total deaths.

So the BS is what the county did by including deaths from when virtually no one was vaccinated, and there was a large outbreak of the virus as they described the current situation.

None of the graphs or summary information provide any data about how many people are dying now from COVID and their vaccination status.

Interpreting the case rates for vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals is also difficult since CDC guidelines only require reporting of COVID cases among vaccinated people that are severe.

Looking at case rates in the last 14 days by community in comparison to vaccination rates in those communities shows that vaccination generally seems to reduce the case rates but some communities with >90% vaccination rates still have higher case rates than other communities with lower vaccination rates.

For example, the community with the highest case rate is Bethel Island, with 740 cases per 100,000 and a vaccination rate of only 55%. But the small community of Diablo has the 4th highest rate, with 669.6 cases per 100,000 and a vaccination rate greater than 90%.

The lowest case rate for the last 14 days is Knightsen, with 85 cases per 100,000. They have a vaccination rate of 31%, the lowest in the county.

So there is no simple relationship, and public health officials are posting misleading graphs and charts to support a narrative from the left.

It would be helpful to everyone if the government shared all of the data, not just certain combinations of data carefully picked to make a misleading impression.
