I don’t know. The Taliban had neither F-15s or nukes and they were successful against him.

That struck me too. The only reason I can figure is that despite their constant blasting the USA, they need the USA for both our strength (or what used to be) and the fact that we foot most of the bill. As long as we do the latter, they’ll be with us, but once we don’t they drop away. Those aren’t real allies.
