The U.S. has reached a deal with the Taliban to ensure that evacuations from Kabul's airport can take place without interference from the group, according to a report by The Associated Press.
The deal was reached in talks in Doha, Qatar, between senior Taliban officials and Gen. Frank McKenzie.
The two sides apparently agreed to a "deconfliction mechanism” in which operations at the airport in Kabul are permitted to continue without interference from the Taliban.

Then why are they shooting at those trying to enter or leave the airport?

Also—note that this agreement does not cover Americans or other foreign nationals sheltering in place outside the airport.

Yeah, pallets of cash and other considerations. The negotiator in Doha is an opportunist. He represents himself first, maybe taliban second and has no control over all but a few elements of the taliban who will do what ever they want to do.
I hope it works out.
Biden was begging and negotiating the cash payments in addition to the billions in equipment they are already enjoying as our parting gift.

If the Imposter-in-Chief dumba@@ retard offered pallets of cash, I say the Taliban would take it (Biden’s not smart enough to even offer confiscated counterfeit cash) and THEN renege on any promises. That is their level of “honor”.
