But the threat of taking out one of those planes is real. And they don’t need anything fancy to do it. A Dishka or .50 will easily do the trick.
And therein lies the rub. Something goes sideways, and 6000 troops is going to turn into 8000-10000. And without destroying the city and rooting out the Taliban, door to door, how do you get them out?
