Conservative Larry Elder is rising in California and Democrats are terrified.
Gavin Newsom and his supporters, including the liberal media are now taking this very seriously because they believe Elder could actually pull this off.
The liberal Los Angeles Times newspaper has resorted to begging their readers not to recall Gavin Newsom.

We’re one month out from the California recall election and the polls have continued to tighten, though most of them predict Newsom surviving by a slim margin. Perhaps it’s the unexpected closeness of the vote that moved the editorial board of the Los Angeles Times to publish a beseeching letter to Californians, urging them to not be tempted into opting for some new blood in the Governor’s mansion.
Their concern for the welfare of the state (or should we simply say “the welfare state?”) seems touching, but the editors also don’t do a very good job of hiding their real reason for wanting to keep him. Also, when they get around to attempting to defend Newsom’s performance as governor during his first term, it comes off as more of an apology for him than a defense. Here’s their opening salvo:
Ballots for the Sept. 14 special recall election have been mailed to 22 million California voters. The ballot poses two questions. The first is whether Gov. Gavin Newsom should be removed from office.
The correct response is a strong, unequivocal no.
Removing Newsom and replacing him with an untested and unprepared alternative who wouldn’t represent the values of most Californians would be a disaster. It would doom the state to months of political and bureaucratic dysfunction and economic uncertainty. And for what purpose?
Meanwhile, Larry Elder just keeps going.

If Elder wins this race, it will send a nuclear shockwave through American politics.
And he just might do it.
Most of California has no values. They would sell their own mothers or children for a few bucks. Thats if they have children at all.
LOL, Larry Elder of all people. That is awesome. I don’t see it happening, but it would be amazing. The media would go nuts (again), and we might actually see some social media seppuku thought without any honor.
Do the DEMs have super-majorities in both the state house and senate there?

By the way, the pastor explained that "BLM" means "Because Larry Matters." I believe we will win the recall and that Larry Elder will be our next governor.
This is a weird election. Newsom is unpopular, and every well could lose. I’ve seen “Recall Newsom” signs all over the state... Bay Area, central valley, SoCal. I’ve yet to see a single sign supporting our dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks pretty-boy Gov. Don’t discount the possibility of Larry E. winning. I’m voting for him, and he has the best name recognition among the large field of candidates. The Dems have chosen not to throw their weight behind a replacement candidate, so if Newsom loses, someone like Larry could win with plurality in the 20 percent range

I hate to say it, but how many will vote for Mr. Elder because he is black, without knowing his politics? (assuming the corrupt, perverted POS newsom is recalled)
Our family is voting for Larry Elder.
Yes, he does. The pro-recall crowd has what George Bush called the "Big Mo (momentum)." We are motivated--getting out on the freeway overpasses to wave signs, walking precincts, phoning, etc. And there are some positive signs--for example, last year, the vote on several statewide ballot initiatives went our way.
Haha that’s a BLM I can vote for! Everyone I know is voting for Larry. Yeah, that might only be 30 people, but they’re enthusiastic ;-)

I would ideally want him to win because of his policies ( which are solid). But if it take identity politics to get Newsom outta there, I’ll take it.
I say let’s use people’s stupidity to our advantage for once.
If I still lived in California, I’d be wearing myself campaigning for this guy. As it is, I can send him a few bucks. So should we all.
