This makes me glad that I was in a position to be able to retire (a bit early, but not too). 10 years ago, I would have been in trouble.
The district I worked for requires masking for all on campus, weekly tests and COVID vaccine.
A former colleague told me someone did the same thing at the first teachers’ meeting at my former school - stood up, said her piece about masking and weekly mandated testing (was told to shut up) - walked out of the meeting, into the office and resigned on the spot. Said later she couldn’t have been happier and that a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders. The staff is now heavily new teachers from all the retirements and resignations - I’m guessing most of them are temps. Thankless job now.
A lot of ‘health care’ institutions display signs proclaiming ‘Heroes Work Here’...I LOL every time I see one. This FORMER employee is the TRUE hero...I salute your courage, ma’am!
