That is the crux of the argument.
Seems to me that justice is, like beauty, in the eye of the beholder, and that’s the problem.
Nowadays the definition of justice that seems to be winning the day is “equity” - everyone gets the same thing regardless of their contributions.
“Equity” is just a convenient lure to get the plebes to volunteer as foot soldiers. Nobody with any intelligence believes they will actually achieve it, but they can use it as a motivator so that they can achieve the real goal, which is just absolute power.
