Vaccinations rose strongly on today's report.
Canada will require most commercial passengers traveling by air, rail or large ship to be fully vaccinated by fall.
Biden administration officials have reportedly discussed a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for interstate travel but are hesitant to follow through given potential political backlash.
Meanwhile, a federal judge on Friday allowed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's evictions moratorium to remain in place. U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich said she thinks the moratorium is illegal but said her "hands are tied" by a ruling allowing the eviction ban to stand from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
The National Education Association, the nation's largest teacher's union, said it supported policies that would require all teachers to get vaccinated or submit to regular testing.
US sees more cases so far in August, than all of July.
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey on Friday issued a limited state of emergency aimed at giving medical providers flexibility on staffing and capacity decisions and easier shipment of emergency equipment and supplies.
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown is deploying up to 1,500 National Guard troops to support healthcare workers amid a surge of COVID-19 cases.
The U.S. has had more than 36.5 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and 620,900 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data. The global totals: More than 206.1 million cases and 4.3 million deaths.
Mississippi's largest hospital (the University of Mississippi Medical Center) sets up parking garage tent for COVID patients As Mississippi set a record for new COVID-19 cases Thursday with more than 4,400 – the second time this week the state set that record.
Twenty-seven people sailing on Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Vista ship have tested positive for COVID-19. Of those who tested positive, 26 are crew members and one person is a passenger. All of the people who tested positive are vaccinated. Most are asymptomatic, and a few have mild symptoms.
Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on Thursday refused to block a plan by Indiana University to require students and employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average squeaked out another closing record Friday—even as the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant continues to grab headlines.
In the last four weeks, 99 percent of analyzed coronavirus positive specimens were identified as the delta variant in Michigan, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
Montana state health officials say the delta strain of the coronavirus accounts for nearly every (over 90%) recent COVID-19 test screened for variants in the state.
Nearly all Western New Yorkers who test positive for COVID-19 have the delta variant, according to University at Buffalo scientists.
The coronavirus delta variant has spurred a “whole new pandemic,” according to Georgia’s top health official.
Thanks for all the work compiling this. The good news is I am in contact with some front line people in florida who think this has peaked and will start to decline fairly rapidly over the next few weeks
“some front line people in Florida who think this has peaked and will start to decline fairly rapidly over the next few weeks”
Nationally, this is the sixth week of the Delta wave climbing in the USA. The UK Peaked after seven.
The places that started first, may tend to peak earlier as well (all other things being equal). So it is time to start looking out for some bellwether early local peaks.
Note: The UK did not drop to nothing after the peak - it dropped to half of peak, and plateaued there, significantly higher than before the Delta wave. Cases rose roughly w tenfold, then dropped in half of that.
Deaths rose much less than that in the UK. Although deaths are proportionally lower than the earlier waves in the USA. they seem to be proportionally a bit higher in the USA, compared to the UK’s Delta wave.
That’s some welcome good news. No sign of a slowdown yet here in Georgia.
Just got word that the wife of my daughter’s equine instructor has been admitted. She’s such a sweet lady. Pray for her y’all.
First name? so we can pray?
Joanne. Thank you so much.
How are the younger patients doing? Are they still coming out of it okay? Or are you seeing increased negative outcomes (e.g. long hospitalization, long recover, etc.) for younger patients since the Delta variant became dominant?
I ask because I’ve seen some conflicting information and it’s good to get eyes on the ground sorting fact from fearmongering.
What CDC says about Delta:
“The Delta variant causes more infections and spreads faster than early forms of SARS-CoV-2
The Delta variant is more contagious: The Delta variant is highly contagious, more than 2x as contagious as previous variants.
Some data suggest the Delta variant might cause more severe illness than previous strains in unvaccinated persons. In two different studies from Canada and Scotland, patients infected with the Delta variant were more likely to be hospitalized than patients infected with Alpha or the original virus strains.
Unvaccinated people remain the greatest concern: Although breakthrough infections happen much less often than infections in unvaccinated people, individuals infected with the Delta variant, including fully vaccinated people with symptomatic breakthrough infections, can transmit it to others. CDC is continuing to assess data on whether fully vaccinated people with asymptomatic breakthrough infections can transmit. However, the greatest risk of transmission is among unvaccinated people who are much more likely to contract, and therefore transmit the virus.
Fully vaccinated people with Delta variant breakthrough infections can spread the virus to others. However, vaccinated people appear to be infectious for a shorter period: Previous variants typically produced less virus in the body of infected fully vaccinated people (breakthrough infections) than in unvaccinated people. In contrast, the Delta variant seems to produce the same high amount of virus in both unvaccinated and fully vaccinated people. However, like other variants, the amount of virus produced by Delta breakthrough infections in fully vaccinated people also goes down faster than infections in unvaccinated people. This means fully vaccinated people are likely infectious for less time than unvaccinated people.”
100 plus years of insanity
1917
begins.
1802 The British government gives Edward Jenner £10,000 for continued experimentation with ‘smallpox vaccine.’ The paradigm that vaccines provide ‘lifetime immunity’ is abandoned, and the concept of ‘re-vaccination’ is sanctioned.
1822 The British government advances Edward Jenner another £20,000 for ‘smallpox vaccine’ experimentation. Jenner suppresses reports which indicate his concept is causing more death than saving lives.
1844 Fredrich Loeffler isolated the diphtheria bacillus from the throats of patients.
1881 Sternberg in his own lab isolated the pneumococcus
1882 Robert Koch isolates the tubercle bacillus
1883 Robert Koch isolates the cholera bacillus.
1883 Max Von Pettenkofer suggested that Koch’s bacteria were only one of the many factors in the causation of cholera. He prepared test tubes thick with lethal cholera bacteria and he and several of his students drank them down with no side affects.
1888 Bacteriological Institute opens in Paris for experimentation with animals and production of vaccines and sera. Other institutes open around the world modeled after the Paris Institute.
1888 Bacteriological Institute in Odessa, Russia tries its hand at a vaccine for anthrax. Over 4500 sheep are vaccinated; 3,700 of them die from the vaccination.
1909 New York Press, January 26, 1909 publishes a report by W.B. Clark which states, ‘cancer was practically unknown until cowpox vaccination began to be introduced. I have seen 200 cases of cancer, and I never saw a case of cancer in an un-vaccinated person.’ Scientific evidence begins to mount that where human lymph is employed in a vaccine, syphilis, leprosy and TB soon follow. Where calf lymph is employed in the creation of a vaccine, TB and cancer soon follow. (Cancer and Vaccination by Esculapius).
1911 The head of French Public Health for the French Army said that germs alone were ‘powerless to create an epidemic.’
1912 First whooping cough (Pertussis) vaccine created by two French bacteriologists, Jules Bordet and Octave Gengou, who wanted to use it in Tunisia. After they grew Pertussis bacteria in large pots, they killed it with heat, mixed it with formaldehyde (used to embalm bodies) and injected it into children.
“Vaccinations, Not a Virus, Is Responsible for Spanish Flu – 1918”
– Dr. Robert O. Young
The pH Miracle Living Center

1933 a British science team to identify the first filterable bacteria in man, yet propaganda says that the virus of Spanish flu killed millions of civilians and soldiers during the pandemic from 1918 to 1920.
Many would have us believe that all those American soldiers who died from non-combatant causes died from Spanish flu. However, U.S. Army records show that seven men died after being vaccinated.
A report from U.S. Secretary of War Henry L Stimson, the deaths were not only verified but also there had been 63 deaths and 28,585 cases of hepatitis reported as a direct result of yellow fever vaccination during only six months of the war. Plus, the yellow fever vaccination was only one of the 14 to 25 shots given to recruits.
1911 vaccinations became a requirement in the U.S. Army. Cases of typhoid and vaccinial diseases increased rapidly, according to Army records.
1917 The death rate from typhoid reached the highest point in the history of the U.S. Army after America entered the war.
In 1917, 19,608 men were admitted into army hospitals due to anti typhoid inoculation and vaccinia, according to a report of the Surgeon-General of the U.S. Army; and this doesn’t take into account others whose symptoms were attributed to other causes. The army doctors knew all these cases of disease and death were due to vaccination and were honest enough to admit it in their medical reports. Army doctors tried to suppress the symptoms of typhoid with a stronger vaccine, however it caused a worse form of typhoid, paratyphoid. They then concocted an even stronger vaccine to suppress the previous one and created an even worse disease–Spanish flu.
After the war, this was one of the vaccines used to protect a panic-stricken world from the soldiers returning from WWI battle fronts infected with dangerous diseases.
The rest is history.
1918 Great influenza epidemic attributed to widespread use of vaccines that killed up to 100 million people.
1921 BCG tuberculosis vaccine developed.
1922 A study by Samuel Torrey Orton connects emotional disturbance with neurological problems. This insight was lost after World War II when psychology, psychiatry and psychoanalysis became popular, breaking the connection. The emotional disturbances caused by vaccines then became financial fodder for the new psych-industries. With the causes suppressed, a new industry was born.
1925 Danish researcher Thorvald Madsen tries a modified Pertussis vaccine during an epidemic in the Faroc Islands. It did not prevent Pertussis. (See 1933).
1925 General vaccine programs against tuberculosis began in the United States.
1927 British government appoints a committee to inquire into ‘vaccine lymph’, as it is noticed that the ‘glycerinated calf lymph’ used in vaccinations causes deaths from ‘sleepy sickness’. Two London professors bring notice of the problem to the government in 1922. It takes 5 years before the government responds.
April, 1930 Eli Lilly, makers of thimerisol, inject the product into 22 people with meningitis who all die. Lilly publishes the “study”, claiming that thimerisol, 50% mercury by weight, is safe.
I am seeing increased mortality in the young with high comorbidities. Here are the take aways from what I have seen this week
—Delta is ripping across the Southeast
—We seem to be just across the peak, there are 12% less cases in the hospital this week as last week where I am
—Delta is the dominant genotype at this time
—Delta is FAR more contagious with increased numbers of hospitalized, but proportionally less critically ill (more total cases, less critical cases)
—The critical cases are truly horrendous, no long haul, frequently, rapid acceleration to death
—All but once case hospitalized has been vaccinated (N = > 300)
—Monoclonals are stopping delta dead in its track — this is the obvious treatment and cure
Let me guess. You don’t even have a tetanus vaccination lol.
Get a life — we know your instant is that vaccinations are evil incarnate, never mind the diseases they have eradicated. Go away.
The speed of the Delta takeover is astounding.
I’m in Georgia. Not a word of Delta where I’m at, hospital is normal, folks enjoying life, restaurants and bars open. Things are going fine.
Shut the TV off and everything is fine.
“ We seem to be just across the peak (locally), there are 12% less cases in the hospital this week”
Hallelujah! That is what I have been hoping for, and what President Trump’s FDA Commisioner Scott Gottlieb has been predicting.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the UK peaked quickly as well, but cases did not drop as low afterward, as they were before the Delta wave. A new plateau has been holding for a few weeks there, about half the level of the peak (5 times the lows from before the Delta wave).
Several modelers, including Goldman Sachs’ team, anticipate another smaller wave this Winter.
There’s insanity in this post. It’s all coming from the poster. Please
seek help
Thank you for the update!
Thanks for this thread! I watch for it every evening.
I’ve been watching my county closely (Contra Costa, CA) and everything has peaked as a few days ago and is now falling quickly: cases, hospitalizations, deaths. It was a sharp peak and sharp decline.
