Three major airlines — Southwest, American and Delta — have decided against following United Airlines in requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for employees.
The CEOs of all three major airlines have each said that they will not be requiring their employees to get vaccinated, CNN reports.
Last week, United Airlines became the first major airline to issue a vaccine mandate for its employees
"The facts are crystal clear: everyone is safer when everyone is vaccinated," United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby and President Brett Hart told employees in a memo.
Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly said in a memo obtained by CNN that while the company will "continue to strongly encourage" vaccination, it would not be changing its position on vaccine requirements.
"Obviously, I am very concerned about the latest Delta variant, and the effect on the health and Safety of our Employees and our operation, but nothing has changed," Kelly said in the memo.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian said in an interview that 75 percent of his airline's workforce was already vaccinated, appearing to argue that a vaccine mandate was unnecessary. CNN notes that Delta was the first airline to announce that all new hires would have to be vaccinated.
Though not requiring vaccines, American Airlines is incentivizing vaccines for their workers by giving them one extra vacation day in 2022 if they get vaccinated by the end of this month, CNN reports.
"We certainly encourage it everywhere we can, encourage it for our customers and our employees, but we're not putting mandates in place," American Airlines CEO Doug Parker said in an interview.
Actually, it's the other way. "United breaks with Southwest, American, and Delta, will mandate vaccine experimental treatments for workers."
The Propagandist Media who wrote the headline are determined to sell the lie that the experimental treatments are the norm and the other airlines are breaking with that norm.
United Airlines is the one breaking with the industry. They're not a standard bearer for anyone other then themselves and their Leftist masters. Let the CEO and Executive Board testify at Nuremberg II.
I wish they would stop it with the encouragement. Just don’t talk about it at all would be better.
Companies could be sued under Americans with Disabilities Act, or under HIPAA laws. What if a firm mandates a vaccine and that employee then has serious adverse reactions? What future health-consequences will be found out? Think of the asbestos and coal industries, for example.
What if it turns out your company is firing mostly black workers for non-compliance? You are now liable under the Civil Rights acts for "disparate impact."
Any corporate manager and their legal counsel with half a brain will reject these "mandates" immediately.
Watch for Delta and more upcoming C-19 variants... All this Covid paranoia to be pushed hard by Dems up to the 2022 elections. To justify universal mail in voting and vote harvesting. The Dems might jam a Federalizing bill through Congress. Failing this they will get senile Joe to issue a Presidential directive/Executive order for the same

HIPPA is not enforced and hasn’t been for years.
Had a clear HIPPA violation happen to me (with impact).
Talked to several lawyers about it. ALL, ALL of them said “yes, that is a violation. But I won’t take the case and encourage you to find another job.”
One said that HIPPA laws are more to protect the employer.
We have courts openly saying “Yes, this is illegal, but we will do nothing”.
Stop playing the game you want to play, and see the game being played. No “legal” solution remains.
The American Southwest isn’t United against Delta.
