Never mind the spotty job history, prior loan defaults, average annual income of $35,000, and credit score in the mid-400s. No...it was denied because you’re not white.
Maybe the band did not have $750,000 to spare.
A lot of people have credit scores in the 400’s.
I was helping someone manage their rental properties recently. I was surprised to see so many people with 400 scores and so many who were earning less than the monthly rent!
Compared with the usual applicants from years past, this year had a big uptick of applicants who were totally not qualified. I suspect many of them thought they might be evicted if the moratorium hadn’t been extended.
