Governor Ron DeSantis Announces Expanded Monoclonal Antibody Access in Florida with New Monoclonal Antibody Centers
August 12, 2021
~ Monoclonal antibody strike teams will deploy directly to long-term care facilities ~
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida is increasing the availability of monoclonal antibody therapies by opening a rapid response unit to administer this lifesaving treatment in Jacksonville.
I am proud to announce the opening of this rapid response unit to offer lifesaving monoclonal antibody therapies for Floridians,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “We also look forward to setting up a long-term site at the Jacksonville Public Library and additional long-term sites across the state. These treatments have been proven successful, with clinical trials resulting in a 70% reduction in hospitalization and death for COVID patients.”

And I probably should have been more specific. I’m in the Orlando area.
Gas_dr here has been saying for a long time that MABs are by far the best treatment in the early stage.

This is also a treatment with the lowest probability of side effects. It’s a simple infusion of antibodies which will inactivate the virus. No mRNA. No generated spike proteins. No Rube Goldberg. Just a straightforward treatment designed to inactivate the covid virus in a person’s body at that time.
DeSantis is in there everyday working to protect the people of Florida... (the press hates him)...
Surprisingly a little overweight, but no where near obese. Seemed healthy, but didn’t go to hospital because they were just sending people home with no treatment. He was part of a cluster of people he knew. He was convinced due their experience it would be useless.
People need to know that this is not the mRNA 'vaccine' -- this is a very different form of treatment, and even though this process is also operating under a EUA, it's a considerably more established, with monclonal antibodies' first application approved way back in 1986.
They need to get with the Israelis and get there new therapeutic that has proven 90%+ effectiveness in recent controlled studies.
FRom Utah.gov:
“Novel COVID-19 monoclonal antibody therapy
Due to increased incidence of variant forms of SARS-CoV-2 which have greater resistance to monoclonal antibody monotherapies, as of March 23, 2021, it is now recommended that Utah providers exclusively use combination monoclonal antibody therapies.”
....
Are these “combination MAT’s” good?
Looks like we have a bunch of hospitals in Utah offering MAT!
Hopefully my State does the same. I heard the vaccine does not work for the variant that is coming across our borders from South America.
Its about time someone focused on treatment and not a vaccine that won’t prevent it anyway. Did a vaccine eliminate the flu? No. Common cold? No
Follow the money. Big pharma. Big government.
I want this man to run for President. I'll vote for him. He's got guts and determination. He also has an awesome sense of what the right thing to do is, and then he does it.
“DeSantis is in there everyday working to protect the people of Florida... (the press hates him)...”
Then he has all the right enemies.
Florida...home of the original Crackers.
Sounds great Gov!
But I am in the Tampa area. Are there any facilities near me?
I just wrote to my two Idaho State Reps and one Idaho State Senator with a link to the article. I wrote “Please do this in Idaho ASAP. Follow DeSantis’ lead!”
Thanks for posting this.
EVERY state should be doing this.
This is so incredibly important news — DeSantis gets it and this is how to end this nonsense for once and for all — a great, safe, and most of all effective treatment — get it early, and zap you are done.
He should absolutely not mandate HCQ and Ivermectin — this is false hope, the governor of Florida has finally provided direct access to all of a therapeutic thats actually works. And now people will not lose valuable time screwing around with things that have a weak track record — on a good day.
Regeneron is a combo therapy — early on single therapy was good (bamlanivimab) then they added a second monoclonal to it — but Regeneron is a combination therapy ... and it WORKS. QUICKLY.

You might want to call and ask:

Even subcutaneous injection of MAB is apparently helpful. I don’t think that’s been authorized yet, unfortunately. If a primary care physician could just inject someone as soon as they suspected COVID or got test results, how much would that help? Are there storage issues with MAB? Not enough of it for that use?
“Additionally, the study showed that individuals treated with REGEN-COV who experienced a symptomatic infection experienced resolved symptoms in just 1 week compared with 3 weeks with placebo, and they cleared the virus faster, according to the release.”
How are the vaccines holding up in your neck of the woods? Are most ICU patients still not vaccinated?
