Aug. 12—Lansing — Riding a wave of frustration focused on the last election, Kristina Karamo and Matthew DePerno have risen, in a matter of months, to become contenders for top Republican spots on Michigan's ballot in 2022.
Karamo, an Oak Park educator who hopes to be the GOP nominee for secretary of state next year, and DePerno, a Kalamazoo lawyer who is seeking the nomination for attorney general, gained prominence by contending there was fraud in Democrat Joe Biden's presidential victory over Republican Donald Trump in Michigan.
Their campaigns are poised to test how closely state Republicans are holding to Trump's unsubstantiated claims that the presidency was stolen from him and whether party activists are willing to support other candidates who haven't bought into the idea.
In a Tuesday interview, DePerno took aim at fellow Republicans, criticizing Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, R-Clarklake, and Senate Oversight Chairman Ed McBroom, R-Vulcan, who led a months-long probe that found there was no systemic fraud in the 2020 vote.
"There is a divide right now in the Michigan Republican Party between conservative constitutionalists, like myself, and progressives, like Mike Shirkey and Ed McBroom," DePerno said. "I think that's a fight we need to have."

There is a tidal wave coming for them in the 2022 primaries.
The old RINO formula for winning primaries won't work anymore. It used to be that the RNC would pour money into the RINO campaign and run at least 3 other "conservative" candidates to dilute the vote of the real conservative, who would be an unknown and have no big-name endorsements. That how the RINOs have stayed in power and THE JIG IS UP.
RNC donations have evaporated (as they well should). Once Trump makes endorsements and starts holding mega rallies and bringing them onstage, it won't matter how many "conservative" challengers are in the mix.
I can't wait for these smug RINO traitors to be kicked out.

Sounds like the kind of probe that engaged in what amounted to a ballot recount, and shazam, the same result. It was machine manipulation of the vote in all fifty States and it takes a forensic audit to get to the bottom of those technical issues not to mention issues related to ballot chain of custody. A legal issue that basically went out the window as influenza.
There is a former Michigan State Senator leading the fight in his State.
Watching the final day of Mike Lindell’s Cyber Symposium will hopefully be beneficial in that regard. There are State Legislators from 49 States in attendance seeing the evidence.
