Put it in a museum, or sell it to a WWII collectors. Knew an old vet that had a bunch of Nazi relics from his service. He took great pleasure in robbing them (as he said).
It’s someone’s else’s property. If it sickens them so much, buy it all and destroy it. But that’s probably what they just want to do anyway—without buying it.

I agree. They are historical artifacts. You don’t have to like the history behind them, but they are artifacts from a bygone era. Unless you just want to just erase and forget history.
I collect military items (pre 1870 only). I have known many collectors over the years and some of the biggest collectors of German WW2 memorabilia and artifacts were Jewish collectors. I don’t pretend to know their mindset but assume it may just be a recognition of that dark time as history that should not be forgotten. I have Confederate items as an important part of my collection but that does not mean I endorse or approve of slavery. They are simply historical artifacts.
Ditto. You cannot, and should not pretend it didn't happen. Tangible physical items make it very real. I've toured a WWII museum and seen actual cans of Zyklon B - with pellets still inside. Powerful (at least for me), makes it all real.

Young generation are really big into nazi stuff-clothes, badges, dress up nazi parties etc.
They were having a problem with WWII reanactments in Belgium because everyone wants to come dressed as Nazi SS and not enough American and british soldiers.

Exactly. I've seen auctions in Britain for items, such as a Jane Austin ring in 2014, that was won by Kelley Clarkson after she outbid a museum. The next move was for the UK to ban the item from being exported out of the country. Clarkson ended up having to sell the ring to the museum, who eventually raised the funds to buy it. If they wanted it that bad, they should have had the money up-front to outbid anyone else at the auction. Instead, they manipulated the laws, to block a buyer from ever being able to possess the item.

The same crap goes on with shipwrecks. One country will discover a shipwreck with treasure, and then the country that the ship was originally from, will sue to get the recovered treasure, claiming it's their culture and heritage. Never mind the fact that the stuff wasn't important enough for them to conduct research, or search for the wreck themselves. They only claim it's their culture and heritage when a group from outside the country (America), who has spent all the time, money, and effort it took to discover the wreck, and it's only then that they (in this case it was Spain), who went to court, and got possession of the treasure.
I bet you can go into a number of stores in Australia and buy a commie Chinese flag or a Che shirt or a hammer and sickle shirt.
It would be nice if people on different sides realized how much they depend on each other to get their messages out.
