It gets... complicated.

Mandating a medical treatment as a condition of employment used to mean the side effects become the employers problem.

Ran into that at a place that made lead based materials. We could not mandate treatment. We could OFFER it, but not mandate it, since the cheletants (I know I spelled that wrong) could lead to health issues.

One guy did not take it.

Same with mandating smoking abatement programs. A place I know of use to randomly test for nicotine. Positive and you were fired. Didn’t hold up in court.

But that was in 2000 or so, when we had the rule of law.

I have worked in healthcare since I graduated from college in 1980.
I have **always** been required to have blood tests to prove titers for measles, mumps, rubella - or get the vacvines. I have always been required to prove I was negative for TB. And then required to get annual flu vaccines.

People here complaining are just selfish cowards who believe obscure idiot websites - probably being paid to publish lies and complete BS. What is it? q180 million Americans have been covid vaccinated?
But they don’t believe, in fact they consistently ridicule and insult, medical professionals posting here to help them.

Do you know what physicians endure and must pass in college to become an MD?
I had the same undergrad classes...calculus, biochem, organic chem, embryology, maybe comparative anatomy, but for sure much anatomy and phys.
I worked on corpses briefly. They have to dissect and really memorize the entire body!
And that’s before they get to internship..

The way they have been treated on this forum is shameful.
To believe some idiot posting complete crap lies over our very own docs...well these freepers are the most classless posters ever.
