The Ukraine has never relented that it wants Crimea and Donbas back, as they are legally Ukraine. By law they are Ukraine and by every International entity they are Ukraine.

I outlined the points of the Minsk agreements, freely available on the UN website. Crimea has gone for good and not covered. What exactly prevents Ukraine from implementing accords to get Donbas back? What’s the problem with giving then rights to elect their representatives and grant amnesty to the rebels? They are dragging on it for 6 years. That’s the only legal obstacles need fixed to return control. The more time passes the least likely for Donbas to return. It is that simple
