This was brought up before. That case was unique and different than Crimea. I don’t remember the specifics.
Ukraine doesn’t want Crimea and Donbas back? LOL
Of course it doesn’t want it back, because the population is growing more and more hostile to the Kiev government by the day.
Read the Minsk accords, please. They are specifically on the conditions of Donbas reintegration into Ukraine. The main conditions are to amend the Ukrainian Constitution for the federal setup and let Donbas and Lugansk to elect their government and representatives to Kiev; to grant amnesty to rebel combatants. Then it is going to get control over Russian border.
Ukraine signed to it, except they say they didn’t mean it. They want the border first, elections sometimes later. Not only they don’t want amnesty to the rebels, they also readied the act of ‘lustration’ prosecuting every public employee down to the public school janitor for collaboration with ‘occupation regime’.
Russia, France, Germany, even US at this point insist for Ukraine to federalize and accept LDNR on the above terms but no way.
The time is running out. It could have worked in 2015,now there is a generation grew up which hates Ukraine with a passion.
As for Crimea it is case closed. After being subjected to tee proper rule of law and prosperity unimaginable in Ukraine, nobody is looking back.
There is no special exception on Kosovo. The international law exists for everybody or doesn’t exist at all. You can’t make exceptions for your geopolitical needs and then expect others to follow the rules you choosen not to.
