We have some friends who live in the NoVa area. Real estate was always really high there but under the Biden influx it has gone hyperbolic.
They just paid 800 grand for a house that would be 350 here in Indiana.
The only reason to move to the NoVA area is if you’re going to work for the FedGov.
Otherwise, you would probably do much better for yourself in practically any other metro area in the country.
And real estate wasn’t always really high here. Back about 40 years ago, even Mclean was cheap enough for the sort of people that now inhabit trailer parks in Manassas.
