This is a normal reaction to abnormal and deviant social behavior and action by the Left and their allies.
Funny. My wife and I were on vacation last week, and we binge-watched "The Sopranos". Neither of us had ever seen even a single episode.
What I found fascinating (and a bit disconcerting) was my personal and visceral response to seeing the portrayal of the FBI in that series, and how as a law-abiding citizen, I view the FBI as an enemy of both me as a Citizen, and the Constitution of The United States.
In the late Nineties, I am certain the program had every intention of portraying the FBI as crime fighters, fighting on the side of Americans, taking hard-nosed approaches at rooting out organized crime for the betterment of the country.
As a citizen watching the series in 2021, knowing what I know of them now, I viewed them as completely corrupt and unprincipled as the Mafia.
In scenes where they were interrogating someone, I would observe how there was no visible (formal) recording of the proceedings, because the FBI practice is to interrogate, and instead of recording the session and creating an accurate transcript from the recording, to instead write down notes (one agent doing most of the recording while the other mostly interrogates, although the note taker may ask questions and the interrogator may take some notes) and compose a 302 form which is their official account of the proceedings.
Obtaining information in this manner is fraught with ample room for malfeasance. At some point in our naive past as loyal Americans, we might well think that "Well, sure. The process is open to corruption, but the FBI would never abuse it. They are on our side."
When I realized how open to corruption this process is by observing the political persecution of Trump and his allies in the past five years alone, and fully seeing in practice just how corrupt that practice is, and how criminal the FBI has become in their cynical and deliberate use of it, well...it is disillusioning to say the least.
The realization that I (and many Americans) no longer view the FBI as an ally of America is not new to me. For years now, I have lamented that as I went through life, as a child and young adult, if the FBI had knocked on my door to ask questions, I would have wholeheartedly invited them inside, given them refreshment, and answered any questions they may have had. I viewed them, as an American, as being on "my side".
In the last 20-25 years, that has changed dramatically.
If the FBI showed up at my house, unless they forced me to, I would not only refuse them entry to my house and property, I would not speak to them unless I had a lawyer present and would insist any conversations be taped.
In 1980, almost every American would have fully rooted for ALL Americans in competition regardless of any political, cultural, sexual, or racial aspect. They didn't shove it in our face if they had issues, ungratefully and publicly telling us how corrupt, flawed, and hostile their country was to them, and by extension, how corrupt, flawed, and hostile WE were to them who were competing. They were there to REPRESENT US, were grateful for the opportunity, and comported themselves appropriately. It was something that brought people in this country together.
But the Left doesn't want us to come together. They want us torn asunder.
In 1980, almost every American would have fully supported the Capitol Police or any police who were taking action against a mob burning and looting stores, attacking police, or assaulting other people who disagreed with them. Today, entities like the Capitol Police and other law enforcement entities at various levels have some number who are simply an extension of the Democrat Party and the Left. In the past, most people believed in the rule of law in the framework of the Constitution and legally passed laws, and that generally uniform acceptance of law, order, crime, and punishment was something that brought people in this country together.
But the Left doesn't want us to come together. They want us torn asunder. They want one set of laws for one set of people, and another set of "laws" for another set. So they demonize the police, want them disbanded, and encourage violence against defenseless citizens.
In 1980, almost every American would have scoffed at the concept of a civil war. Most people believed that the ballot box was the box we should use when combating issues that negatively affected us. We didn't have to go to war with our fellow Americans over a difference of opinion on things. We could fight it out in fair elections, and the winner had the upper hand in effecting changes in policy and law. That unifying theme was something that brought people in this country together.
But the Left doesn't want us to come together. They want us torn asunder. They have openly and arrogantly shown us that the ballot box is their tool for change via fraud, and are openly doing everything in their power (Such as HR1 and obstruction and corrosion of laws meant to safeguard the ballot box) to corrupt the "fair election" box, and are forcing Americans with no alternatives other than submission to evil, to the cartridge box to protect themselves.
