As for the “animal reservoirs”, I’ve read it came from bats. I’m pretty sure it has been around awhile in non-human species since I don’t think the Chinese made it from scratch.
Even though “no one can make this virus go away”, the goal to cut the number of hospitalizations and deaths remains.

We also want to reduce variant creation so it is less likely that a far worse variant will get created.
Having people travel internationally, not halting the Refugee Convention ASAP and transporting infected aliens across the USA make variant control tougher.
Influenza is a respiratory virus and I think it has a reservoir in birds.
Same conditions apply to influenza, but medical practice still uses flu vaccines.

The current “outbreak” is caused by ADE. Sorry, but strongly DISAGREE with that.
He seems to imply that most current wave infected get infected from vaccinated individuals. DISAGREE. People can get infected from anyone who is infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. The clinical trials showed that the mRNA vaccines were about 95% effective in preventing SYMPTOMATIC disease and close to 100% effective in preventing severe disease and death. Those Phase 3 clinical trials did NOT look to see if non-symptomatic infection was prevented. But subsequent studies comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals both validated the trials’ 95% symptomatic disease prevention finding and additionally found that, compared to the unvaccinated, full vaccination prevented 90% of DETECTABLE infections. If a person does not have a detectable level of virus it’s highly unlikely they could be infectious. Of course that leaves 10% (split roughly 5% symptomatic and 5% NON-symptomatic) that could be infectious so it is definitely possible to be infected by someone previously vaccinated. But a far larger PERCENTAGE of the unvaccinated are likely to be the source of an infection.
I strongly agree with him about high blood vitamin D levels helping successfully fight the disease.
I agree with him that people who have recovered from COVID-19 now have natural immunity and do not need vaccination.
I just skimmed the transcript but if he’s an advocate of a LET ‘ER RIP approach of letting the virus run its course, I AGREE 100%!

Well, he said he’s treated “more than 15 COVID-19 patients” who, as a family doctor were likely not severely ill. More qualified than emergency and intensive care doctors treating many hundreds of cases? Possible but NOT LIKELY.
They would do the same with other viral respiratory diseases (coughing) but generally speaking cold and flu season is in the winter because in spring and summer people spend more time outside than in which makes it harder for the viruses to spread for a variety of reasons (sunlight which creates higher vitamin D levels in people reducing susceptibility, the direct exposure to UV rays, desiccation due to higher ambient air temps and the low viral concentration outdoors due to natural air currents).
A mid summer outbreak is highly unusual for a respiratory virus.
I haven’t heard a person cough in a year and a half.
