First, any attempt to define "assault weapon" is merely so they can ban them. Blatant infringement. Blatantly un-Constitutional.

Second, there really isn't a good definition of "assault weapon" because it is primarily just a scary, made-up term.

Third, the left doesn't want a solid definition of "assault weapon" - ever. They do want the power to ban them. Then they want the definition to be vague enough that they can go after basically any firearm, feature, manufacturer, seller, or owner they please.
