When I’ve tried to engage the Socratic Method with lib-minded folks, they often interpret the questions as attacks on an emotional level.
My experience also.
They have no sense of inquiry. I have a young, first job out of college coworker in an entry level position. Loves to bash Fox News and thinks he’s morally superior for wearing a mask in public for starters.
I don’t think he knows how to ask a real question or solicit input. I have to meet with the supervisor about this lack of communication again.
I don’t see him surviving without a performance improvement plan this time, maybe even a suspension. Of course he will have a litany of things to blame…..
