Earlier in the day, I read another post from Israel that stated their hospitalization rate is less than 100 per day.
If that went on for a full year, it would still be a fraction of 1% of the total population.
The big news story as far as I am concerned - in the USA, UK, and Israel - is that the number of severe COVID illnesses and deaths is dramatically down from previous highs.
Is that decline caused by vaccinations? By natural immunity? By a weakened virus?
I have no opinion or special insight.
But way down definitely = Very good news.
You’re correct. On April 5th 2020 the death rate in Israel on confirmed cases was 9.6% and now cases are up but the death rate is .075%….way down.
