I’ll add two more Dems who were Conservative: Ella Grasso (Great governor) and Scoop Jackson. Ella, was an underrated governor (fought her party against an income tax). Scoop Jackson was pretty good, too.

Yep, the Scoop Jackson Democrats mostly became Republicans over time, and watered-down the Republican Party, it’s where a lot of Neo-Cons came from.
