I do think in very serious situations, like the obliteration of all life on the planet, that there actually is such a thing as situational ethics.
Then you have put your trust in the arm of flesh.
Jeremiah 17:5
“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.”
The Cananites thought that sacrificing theIr children to Moloch would save them from starvation or other ills or bring them good fortune. Situational ethics.
By the way, the disease was never a threat to life on the planet. It was basically a threat to older people with compromised immune systems... like me. The vaccine, however could end up being the very thing you feared. It is a byproduct of child sacrifice. I don’t expect good to come from it. Not in the long run.
Murdering babies didn’t save the Cannanites. This vaccine is not going to save mankind. Not if it’s a biproduct of the most horrific of sins.
