Ban Liberal Veteran’s Groups. Why is that any less oppressive than press censorship? They are children, and not veterans, if they do not support the 1st Amendment.
I have had experience with various of these scumbag groups, meeting them on the streets at demonstrations down in Washington DC.
I came to loathe them, but I did come to realize that at least some of their members (not the ones wearing olive green utility jackets with a white dove painted on the back) are people who were genuinely negatively affected by war so powerfully that they couldn’t even see who they were joining up with.
I faced off outside the White House against a bunch of “Veterans Against War” dickheads, and managed to strike up a reasonable conversation with an older combat veteran who was marching with them, and I had no doubt after talking to him he was being used, and poorly by that group. He wasn’t one of those dopes, but I concluded he had no idea that by associating with them, he was giving their agenda a legitimacy I am sure he had no idea he was giving them.
He simply couldn’t face the prospect of young men going off to war, and the pain on his face as we talked was evident.
