It takes a public awakening and willingness to risk it all, to defeat the enemy. Franklin’s “republic if you can keep it,” and “those who value security over liberty lose both” come to mind, as strong elements in my personal point of view.
Our elected class is not liberty-minded. The vast majority are “masters of the universe” control freaks.
