This may not be against the law in how it is written, but it is nothing short of blackmail.

It would not be a HIPAA violation for an employer to ask an employee’s healthcare provider for proof of vaccination. It would however be a HIPAA violation for the employee’s healthcare provider to disclose that information to the employer unless the individual had provided authorization to do so. So if the only way to get the information is to force the employee to make it available through their provider, so they can make money to eat and house themselves and their families, then that’s the blackmail part.

Transparent it is. Morale and ethical it isn’t. DNC: Damn notorious crooks.

Presumably it follows that everyone who WORKS in the hospitality industry will now also be required to get vexationated.

How so?? MY employer asked me for my vaccination status and i told them i was protected under HIPAA and was not obligated to inform them of my vaccination status or anything else about my health.
