Nice straw man try again. Sweden has the population of a medium city spread out over an area the size of an Eastern American state they have very low.population density. Like it or not Australia proves with no scientific doubt if you lock people down hard the virus cannot spread that’s just how airborne virus work. The fact that is works that way is really not up for scientific debate quarantine has worked for thousands of years. The Romans knew it worked in BC times. Should they be done is the only question and for a low fatality bug like the latest strain if SARS COVID II Delta there is little justification when effective vaccines are now widely available. That doesn’t change the fact you can absolutely stop an airborne pathogen with quarantine and or isolation. Stomping your foot and pitching an internet temper tantrum doesn’t change that fact. Like it or not Australia went the hard lockdown route and it worked for them until they let people fly in and contaminate them again. You can take it too the bank that if the original strain that hit China and Italy with 30+% deaths rates had spread far and wide hard lockdown like those in China would have been world wide. Fortunately the strain evolved to be much lower CFR early on and stabilized in the mid 1% range with first world health care access.
