We’ve been doing the same.
I found some OLD pot roast and jam, that I’d canned 11 !!!!! years ago.
(Six qts pot roast, about 24 ½ pts of jam 😩)
I had them stashed away REALLY good. They look perfect....no mold, no color change..... sigh ....
Hubby said he’d do the honors of emptying/pitching.

Put the jam in the compost bin if you have one.
The sugar will help the bacteria growth.

We just found some 5 year old frozen vacuum sealed turkey.
It hasn’t killed mr. mm yet but it isn’t very tasty. Flavor is mostly gone.
