Why does everyone assume that China under reports the number of cases? Wouldn’t over reporting the number of Covid cases (and forcing its citizens into unnecessary lockdowns) better serve their interests?

The “vaccines” are working. They are a cure for Wuhan flu hysteria, not a vaccine for the flu. Hysteria sufferers who get the vaccine overcome their hysteria and drop their precautions thus get the flu and help reach herd immunity. The success of the vaccinations is measured by the number of vaccinated who get the flu.
Hopefully none of them are in the flood zone... I would not put it past the CCP to weld them inside their homes even if they are water-logged and rains are coming.
