I’m horrifically busy, but sometimes leave threads up to get back to — which occasionally is days later...
Anyway, I mostly go by my own monitoring of the community around me, and by the numerous medical / health care pro’s my wife and I know. Particularly with the latter, they do not seem or have seemed hysterical about Covid at all. Concerned, however, even now.
If the vast majority of health care pro’s have been somehow coopted by the CCP (etc.), then we are all in a heck of a lot more trouble than from Covid OR our incompetent gov’t (esp. the CDC) response to Covid.
As far as Spanish Flu goes, IMO if it popped up in 2020 (and Covid had not) the fatalities from it in the US would not have exceeded 150k in 18 months.
Well I’m comparing how much havoc was wrought by that, vs now. Pandemic vs pandemic.
If our mitigation wasn’t any better than 1919, the minimum deaths would be 1.5 million.
