Oh, and the only safe direction to go (for a while) if you were trying to escape to freedom (even if only for an afternoon) was PA - everything north and south was at least as bad, especially in Maryland.

However, as I have said before, the CDC-FDA-NIH-OSHA united front that was formed to bring down Trump now has no purpose and there is very intense bureaucratic infighting going on at many levels.
State governors are in the mix, eyes on 2024 - most of what you hear and see in the next 4 weeks is going to be about the war inside the government and only tangentially related to anything actually happening with COVID out in flyover country.
They might be out to get YOU - but not until they get each other first. The executive branch is leaderless and chaos, barely suppressed, is the result.
I tend to agree with you on this one. Don't faint.
