The pols care about the national debt ceiling a whole lot…when we are bumping up against it and their vote-buying and kickbacks are threatened.

The only way rail will ever be working properly again is if this country privatized the railroads and no government subsidies were allowed. Yes, I know that is not going to happen. But, as long as government is involved, rail will continue to flounder.

Not a bit win, but a substantially lesser loss than was planned.

How about hardening for an electromagnetic blast??

IIRC, "hardening" to defend from a "EMP" is futile-the enemy just makes more powerful nukes. A more powerful nuke is MUCH less expensive then the tens of BILLIONS needed to try and shield from the EMP.

It's a loose-loose preposition unfortunately...

Lord help us.

They’re a long ways from being truly iconic but they seem to appear as having already reached that level of cultural status, however artificially!

the last gasp of the UniParty hoping to send out enough corporate payola to be able to defy the data emerging from multi-state electoral and vote audits

<>What good are the charging stations if you don’t have power-producing facilities to back them up?<>

Stressed electric utilities that cannot provide the juice are not a downside, they are an attribute when one considers that the point of EVs is to deprive Americans of their liberty. I guarantee that small town/rural Deplorables will be on the short end of rationing in favor of rat cities. The effect will be to force patriots to give up their way of life.

When rats control the electricity in an EV world they will control society. EVs are the means to destroy the middleclass, and with it, America.

Not all EV’s are autonomous vehicles. It’s when they take you out of the driver’s seat that EV’s become “problematic”. If I can’t have full control of speed, acceleration, direction, destination (ignition, gas pedal, steering wheel, brake pedal, transmission), entertainment and information displays, doors and windows, air quality, interior and exterior lighting, seating positions, maintenance, etc,, etc,, then why wouldn’t I start believing that they’re just setting things up to take us for a ride?
