The Emerald Ash Borer, which has killed millions upon millions of ash trees in Michigan and neighboring states over the last 15-20 years, is of the Cerambycidae family.

Well known among Michiganders to have arrived in wood used to pack machine tools shipped from China to customers on the Detroit area.

China is either shamelessly corrupt, or is conducting a slow form of biowarfare against the US of A. Or both.

ordered a Panama-flagged bulk carrier to immediately depart U.S. waters earlier this month after the discovery of invasive insects on board.

Sounds like the opening scene of a 1950s "giant-insect invasion movie"

Well, the release of the Emerald Ash Borer was wholly accidental.

What happened was that an ash tree was cut in rural China, trucked to a sawmill, rough sawn, planed, stacked, shipped to the tool factory, re-stacked, held in storage, made into a crate, shipped to a sea port, loaded on a ship, crossed the Pacific Ocean, transited the Panama Canal, traveled up the east coast to the Gulf of St. Lawrence, sailed up the St. Lawrence Seaway to Detroit and was unloaded and trucked to a destination in rural Michigan all before the wood dried out.

Don't you see?

It’s unbelievable what foreigners try to bring into the USA. Watch a few videos of our port of entries and you’ll be stunned what they bring in.
