I think you mean the Tuskegee medical experiment and not the Tuskegee airman. People get that confused. In any event I doubt many people even know what either effort was about.

Well, all of the black guys I used to work with were very familiar with the story.

And early this year, when California was pushing special access to early shots into “communities of color” the messaging could not have been worse. Most of the comments were made in a humorous fashion, but the general tenor was “Are you nuts? You want to test this out on us first? No thanks, we’ll think about it after Beverly Hills and Malibu have had their shots.”

Add to that Kamala “heels up superspreader” Harris’ oft-stated skepticism during the campaign, and it’s easy to see why there’s so much hesitancy with those demographics of Dem voters.
