Actually this article is still too optimistic for EV. I can drive that distance in three days, easily making over 1,200 miles a day. If I have second driver to switch. Been there done this. Never took an hour break, just few minutes to make bathroom break and fill up. Sleeping and eating in the car!
And even 600 miles reach will not help, now you will need 2 hours to recharge.
Gas car gets heating for free, as a byproduct. EV needs to burn electricity. Your reach will cut down immensely. Basically all the EV reach distance is very optimistic, calculated to make EV look great. In practical examples, the EV reach was a lot less than advertised!
EVs are a scam designed to restrict movement of the peons. There is some jackass of FR whose handle I don’t remember who insists that ICE engines are only 10% efficient. The real value for current internal combustion engines is 30-35%.
Just one example of the lies that EV cheerleaders tell. Range is another case where reality falls by the wayside. I can’t determine if they’re so stupid that they think people will believer their lies or they’re so stupid that they believe their own lies.
