Hoping this increased ability of Delta to infect the upper airway briefly is it’s last ‘trick’.
Of course it’s always been a big problem with covid that it does so and spreads. With no, or mild, symptoms it’s always been hard to block the darn thing.
Since the Delta waves so far drop quickly I’m hoping that shows the body quickly develops an immune response that blocks it from reinfecting the upper airway.
And since that is covid’s entry into the body that new immune response may be the end of covid.
But I’ve always been too optimistic about this beastie...
