I think the fading immunity is actually more about the vaccines than the prior infection. Apparently, the infection confers a differnet and more permanent type of immunity as compared to the vaccines.

Yes, we do know that they generated a lot of false positives in order to bring down Trump, but I don’t think it’s a case where the false positive was never exposed to C-19, but that the person was exposed and didn’t get infected or sick.
