We’re not.

Haven’t been since Bush Sr. took office and it’s been a steady ride to the bottom ever since.

President Trump was changing that trajectory, pretty much by himself, until Governors, Lt Governors, Secretaries of State’s, AG and state legislatures took marching orders from others, accepted their bribes with enthusiasm and got rid of him.

Now with CornPop and his puppet masters, we’re back on track to the bottom with even more radicals in Congress, on both sides.

In the time of Reagan, people actually were thankful for what they had and what they could strive for. So there was hope and an honest effort to giving rather than despair and not gaining tradeoffs. Thus the new hope is survival, not comfort and success. And the promise is slavery and not freedom. And people are not smart enough or care enough not to be leashed and beaten. So desperation and acceptance of failure is justifiable as long as it is easily defensible. And the acceptance is easily defended by giving Pavlov’s dogs what they think they need...or are told they need.
