I turned 18 a few months before the 2012 election. Although my political views were still nascent at that time, I refrained from voting because I thought Mittens was smug, weak, and too ‘well-liked’ by powerful deep state and business/finance oligarchs.
And after 9 years, I am more proud than ever before that I refrained from voting for him! Can’t image the guilt, embarrassment, and shame some Freepers feel now about supporting that tool.
I held my nose and voted for Romney over Obama and would do so again.
As bad as Mittens would have been, Obummer was siginificantly worse; his regime saw the importing and entrenchment of countless Deep State operatives, at a level that makes them probably unfixable.
No defense of Romney, but he would have been the somewhat less sucktastic of the two.
