FB is in an untenable position - they have the right and the left angry at them. And both sides perceive them to be helping the other side.

Advertisers, now mostly shady Chinese s**t-dealers, are getting trashed if they open anything up for comment. The smarter and larger don't even open their ads for comments any longer.
Another flaw, fatal IMO, is no young people use it. It's becoming a speech-coded haven of boomer herp-derps and neurotic soccer moms posting ads of lost dogs. I don't see that as sustainable.
Also, when they keep banning, harassing and de-platforming our friends and family in their personal communications, they make enemies - as when they help steal elections. Lots of people on all sides want to see them ended now - hence start sending lawyers and pols after them.
As with all commie/neo-commie endeavors - the interesting people and those with any brains and/or money start walking away and failure follows.
And I’m afraid they’re not going anywhere.
So glad I’ve never had a FB, Twitter or Instagram account EVER.....I’m very proud of that.
They’re horrible people and I’m not about to defend anything they do, but I’ve been a long term holder of FB stock. And to quote Chico Escuela, it’s been berry, berry good to me. The stock has pretty consistently averaged ~25% gains annually since the IPO... which is frankly awesome. Any schadenfreude directed at FB stock is likely to be short-lived.
