Abbott better hurry up. Beyond ruining his political career forever, he’s aiding the destruction of Texas and, with it, the country.
From what I can tell Abbott was headed this way for some time. There were some recent law changes when it comes to criminal trespassing. Normally it’s a class b misdemeanor but since he declared several of the counties down there a disaster area that can now be bumped up to a class a which can end up 2 years in prison and a 4,000 dollar fine. Since just about all the land on the border is in private hands any crossing not at a point of entry is criminal trespassing. The hard part is getting everybody on the same page, DA’s Judges, SO’s and land owners.
