I recall reading a boring mystery novel (cannot think the name or its author) whose main character was a silly woman who constantly yearned for Ben & Jerry ice cream. It was an incredibly blatant product placement. And then she had two sophisticated gay men catering to her (for reasons unclear) and bring her food.
I noticed a couple of celebrities also pushing Ben & Jerry, and perhaps it is because of the company's political stand.
