The 92 Dream Team played the same way, very frequently setting up a teammate rather than me, me, me.
Due to connections one of my aunts had, I was lucky enough as a young boy to meet some basketball stars, including a few of the members of the Dream Team, in private settings. Granted this was through a child’s eyes, but what has always stuck with me is how normal the guys were despite the success and mansions they had. I’m sure they had their vices like most young men with money, but they weren’t “thugs” and they didn’t approach others as if they were beneath them. I can’t imagine the anti-American egomaniacs in the NBA of today are anything like that. And they play that way, too.
