So sick and tired of the stupidity. Masks provide barrier protection against body fluids. If they worked for viruses, we would’ve been wearing them every flu season for the past 20 years.
Viruses are 90 nanometers in diameter. This is very much smaller than the aperture of masks. Masks won’t stop the virus — but that’s not the correct measurement.
Because viruses pretty much never exist isolated in nature. They are always attached to some moisture molecule — and those are larger than the aperture. That’s why masks have value.
