That makes the risk of ending up in ICU if you catch COVID-19 in that age range: 0.046%
- ie roughly 5 / 10 000
And risk of dying due to COVID-19: 0.0086%
- ie roughly 9 /100 000
I expect that very many of those unfortunate to get such a serious disease and even succumbing to it were people with severe co-morbidities.
As a comparison the statistics for measels (prior to vaccination) ca 2 / 1000 would get encephalitis.
The mortality was about 2 - 3 / 10 000.
