While polls conducted earlier this year found a consistent 36 percent of registered voters in California supported removing Newsom from office, the new poll from Inside California Politics and Emerson College said that number has now jumped to 43 percent.

If Elder becomes Governor there’s a limit to what he can do in 16 months. California’s assembly is too blue. He can be the national spokesman for what’s going on in the rest of the country. He can start by rubbing the left’s noses in the dirt and saying his election is living proof that black lives matter.
It's not a problem because Kamala Harris is going to campaign with him.
Never underestimate their willingness to do whatever it takes to win and to punish the voters for daring to suggest there are better options.
Heard this from someone who runs in political circles in CA.
If the internal polls show Newsom surviving the recall, he stays in place.
If the internal polls show Newsom being recalled then.
1. Newsom resigns, you know, for he good of the state, prior to the recall date.
2. The recall is canceled as the person that was to be recalled is no longer in office.
3. Democratic Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis becomes the governor.
4. Senator Diane Feinstein retires.
5. Democratic Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis names Newsom as the new senator from California.
6. Feinstein and husband continue to enrich themselves off of state contracts.
The same people remain at the table, the only thing that changes are the chairs they sit in.

The power crisis helped push that...same as it did Gray Davis in back in the 2000s.
Alas, California is even further to the left than it was then...he will probably survive. Incompetence and destruction are rewarded. Just look at how downhill the cities have gone yet they continue to vote Dem - and even stronger than before.
They vote Dem because of the rampant legitimized voter fraud. If voter rolls were cleaned and only in-person voting with ID proving citizenship were enforced, our state would quickly swing back to the right.
